I hope they catch him, take his vehicle, take his guns, make him pay a fine and pay the man for
    his "property".

That sounds more like poaching. or vandalism and theft.

That guy is no hunter, he's an a$$hole in the worst way. I despise people who do things like that.

I worked for a game rancher when I went to college. Even though it is a nightmare we tranquilized and sawed off antlers every fall to make them uninteresting to roadhunting poachers. These were pretty much his pets but people would shoot at them.

Probably some crazed PETA person trying to "help" the deer not suffer the confines of the cage...

I hate people that do this. Today we was leaving our shop and saw 4 deer shot from the road and left within 300 yrds of each other. Only one was a small buck but the horns was cut off when we come back through. The does was illegal anyways because you cant shoot them during rifle, its buck only. Some people are stupid and dont deserve the right to hunt, they ruin it for the rest of us.

These are the type of people that help perpetuate the fuel for the anti-hunting and anti-gun crowds. Unfortunately, these fringe crackpots are seen as the typical example of a gun toting sportsman. It only takes one idiot to ruin the public image for the rest of us.

I guess I can understand someone poaching a deer or shooting one out of season for the meat, but this guy was shooting caged deer. He just wanted to kill something. I only hope the SOB doesn't have a concealed-carry permit.

Which brings up a question: If you've been arrested and fined for illegal hunting, does it go on your record as a felony? Is it something that would pop up when you applied for an FFL or concealed-carry permit?

In Kentucky you would have to turn in your CCW upon conviction.
