I thought this would be a very good idea for all Xtreme users to help each other out. What I would like for anyone that is willing: Enter any and all load data you collect from your Xtreme uppers. I think this will be very helpful to all oif us. This way especially as hutning season wil be here in a few months for us all to pool our research on various loads. It will help hsooters of facvotry and hand loads alike. Here is why: Some my hand load but not have chronogrpahs so they have no idea what there velocites are but have very accurate loads or have done a lot of loading. Other may not hand load but do have chronos and sjppt many factory loads. Others may hand load and have all the belss and whistles and just not the time to go huntjing for accurate load. As you can see if every one contributes what they have collected we can pool some very good info we call all work off of. What is special here is that becasue of the perfomance effects the bore specifications have and the fact the throat on the chamber aligns the bullet to center-line better most of this data will only really be of technical use to Xtreme users.
Please no matter how basic your data may be please post it as you never know whom it may help as how others may help you. As we start to get a good amount of data in I will start to compile it into a chart so people can reference it quickly and with ease.
I think for the easy of reading the data and finding it we try to keep it in a standard format. It does not matter if you have data for all the field jsut fill in the data you do have. I also would like any factory. rounds data as well. EVen if you do nto reload or have a chrono you can still contribute. If you shoot at differnet distances, post the amount of comeups/drop you needed for the distances. This wil tgive people getting ready to hunt or shoot a good idea of what they need to hold it they sue the same ammo.
Here is the format I think woudl work best. If some has a suggestion of soothing they thinks would work better I am all ears or eye in this case.
* Hand Load or Factory (If factory list manf and if SSA tactical or commercial)
* Bullet: Manf, Weight, Type
* Powder: Name and charge weight
* Primer: Brand and Version
* Case: Brand, Trim length, (becasue of SSA making both primer sizes and for those new that may not know primers sizes list this as well)
* COAL: Length from tip to base.
* Crimp: if one is used or not and the amount ( if with the LEE FCD list the amount in turns)
* Upper just Xtreme is fine ( if its something else we need barrel length, make, chamber, twist,and rifling.)
* Chronograph results: Vel per shot, average, ES, SD
* Air Temperature
* Group Size and pictures of targets would be awesome.
* Comments
Example:
Hand Load
Speer 90 gr TNT
Reloader 7 29.3 gr
Wolf 556
SSA small primer 1.676" OAL
2.295"
No crimp
Chrono: 3000, 3015, 2999, 3007, 3911; av 3006; ES 16; SD 7
Group Size: 0.62" @ 100 yards
Temp 86 degrees
Comment: One of the best target loads, not too hot, no pressure signs.
