Colt LE6920 on the way

I made a good trade the other day. I'm trading my Saiga 12 ($650 new) for a brand new 2013 Colt LE6920 & 250 rounds of xm193. Apparently these new Colts come with a MBUS rear sight instead of the carry handle, no sling or cleaning kit and 1 30 rd Pmag rather than 2 USGI mags. Anyone picked up this 2013 configuration LE6920? This will be my first Colt so I'm pretty excited! I've heard some Colts use the "big" trigger pins, does this model use the big or small (normal) pins? I'll be replacing the trigger along with all the furniture ASAP and usually don't care for the front sight but I think I'll leave that sight/GB as is and put my Leupold Prismatic on the top rail.

The current model Colts use small trigger pins. They stopped using the large pin awhile ago (not sure what year). I have a 2012 model LE6920 but haven't done anything with it. Its probably worth more in the stock configuration if you ever decide to sell/trade it.

Sweet! I'm glad as I have a few spare nice trigger parts/ springs that are small pin. I realize it'll probably be worth more in 20 years with the original parts so I plan on keeping them but I will replace them for everyday use and shoot the hell out of it. Maybe I'll pick up another one for saving but the Delta Elite 10mm at the local shop is calling my name :)

Well I got the Colt in and put a Troy Battle Rail on, Magpul MAID grip, Magpul aluminum trigger guard, Magpul ACS-L stock (may swap it for something else), a Leupold Prismatic 1x14, and I'll swap the rear Magpul sight for a Troy.
I'm honestly not too impressed with the Colt. After hearingfor a few yyears about how everyone loves their Colts I figured it'd be the best AR I've had but its actually the loosest fitting upper/lower and worst finish AR I have! (Bushmaster C-15, S&W MP15 OR, built 6.8 SPC W/ BCM upper & Aero lower, Colt LE6920). Oh well, I still like it but I expected a little more "quality".

I know its not a show gun, I knew that when I bought it but I'm surprised how sloppy the fit is. Maybe because its a recent production and they were pumping them out fast but it's a little disappointing my Colt is 3 times as loose as my $700 Bushmaster!

Interesting that the fit is that loose. I bought a Colt a while ago and the fit on it is excellent. Some minor things on the finish that aren't perfect but no complaints on the fit of upper and lower. Also very impressed with the groups it has shot so far in limited range time.
