Any recommendations of the best ammo cases you have found for storing the 6.8spc rounds? Looking for something in the 50-100 round capacity...appears to be many options and several different sizes. Primarily factory rounds in regard to COL as I have yet to get into the reloading game. Just looking for a storage alternative to the factory 20rd cardboard boxes.

Thanks!

usually get the dillon50 round medium rifle.Nice box and decent price somthing like 10 boxes for $21 or $2.80 a piece. Pretty tough box with a nice clip to keep it closed

I've been using Berry's 20 round slip tops. I buy the medium .308 size case and use it for everything .308 and smaller. I use MTM for .223. Berry's web site has many different styles and they are significantly cheaper than MTM if you buy 50 boxes.

The ideal storage vehicle has yet to be introduced as far as I can see. I would personally like heavy card boxes designed to hold fifty or sixty rounds and fit in an ammo can. The interior should be one of the folding style holders with squares to separate and protect each individual bullet from contacting each other. Just like you see in GI twenty round boxes. Designing the cartridge specific boxes to custom fit in an ammo can would be a big seller in my opinion. That's how I store ammo now and a lot of space gets wasted in the process. Slip tops never fit inside without a lot of wasted space.

I use zip lock freezer bags for most of my reloads. If I am working up loads I use the MTM caseguard 50 or 100.

There is also the Frankford Arsenal 512 sized plastic box. I bought 10 on sale from Midway a while back for about $2.25 a piece. It is designed for the 6.8, 30 rem and 7.62x39 (think shorter). Because it handles the chunkier cases, the 6.8 cases rattle around in it some, but it is not as deep as the MTM medium plastic case, therefore there is not as much excess room at the top.

If you are going to use these cases exclusively for shorter OAL cartridges (even 5.56 in a pinch), then this is a good option. If you would like something that would double for 243/308 lengthed cartridges, then I would go for one of the other options, either in the Frankford line or the others mentioned above.

ditto here

Also if looking and you do not see the 6.8 the 40 cal and 10 mm is the same size well almost. They are the case that will work.

I'm using Frankford #512 smoke color from Midway. They were meant to hold 6.8. Enough room to grab 90grers no problem, even with meathclaws.
