I'm trying to gather info. I'm wondering what stocks you use daily? Law enforcement, military, or anything else. I know everyone is in to magpuls. They are very hot right now. I'm wanting some feedback on everything else. I'm stocking my web store and shop and want some real feedback on what you like and don't like. Any comments would help out alot.

Vltor E-Mod is my favorite for the money. But definitely get the Magpul stocks because that is what everyone will want.
See a lot of UBR's, can we get pros and cons for it? I was looking at that for a build...

Personally I like the CTR's. I also like the CAA CBS as an alternative to ordinary M4 stocks.

CTR and UBR. CTR for the 7" SBR and ....UBR for the one with a heavy scope and 14.5". Both have holes for the uncle mike's quick connect sling swivel.
CTR was my first buy. And given the choice to have only one stock...it'd still be the ctr. Light..and quick extend/retract. The UBR has a weird way to extend/retract the stock. Sort of have to use one hand to push the button down and your shoulders to push inwards. And there is a preset button that you have to push at the same time to extend it a click further. Very strange.

I'll break from the MagPul crowd and give a vote for ACE Skeleton stocks. I've got the longer one on my 6.8, and I'll be putting one on my .223 soon, too. The downside is that they're readily available from lots of places like Midway, so the competition might be stiff.

I will agree and say skeletons or for the retro a2's are my favorite. I like the storage in the stock and that you can attach other things to it.

I have all of the Magpul stocks and they are nice but the regular M4 stock is fine with me also...

Most of my rifles have ACE ARFX stocks. I am actually about to trade my last A2 stock for one of the ARFX-E shorty stocks, just to shorten/lighten my 16" rifle.

I like the CTR but i am Quickly falling in love with the ACE SOCOM

Regular M4 stocks are probably needed in shop as well. They're functional and affordable. Stag has a Milspec kit that are pretty good, and RRA has commercial sizing that you can get with and without brand markings. Bravo Company has some nice M4 stocks also.
PRS are good for precision builds, then again A2's work well for me and scoped AR's.
CTR's and VLTOR E-Mods are both nice upgrade stocks. I lean to the E-Mods for the cheek comfort and storage. If you're using battery powered accessories, you'd better be carrying extra batteries.

I have the Magpul UBR and Vltor E-Mod and I prefer the E-Mod. IMO the Vltor E-Mod has a better cheekweld and it is lighter than the Magpul UBR.

I like the regular M4 stock, make sure you carry the six position version. I like those extra two holes to get the adjustment just right. I also have the CTR stock and really like it. I would also probably suggest the MOE, I don't have one yet, but will probably got one of those next. I don't know that I need the extra couple features that the CTR has.

I like the ace socoms and ace skeleton. The a2 seems to work well with varmint and precision uppers. I've got quite a few kits that are going to be for sale soon. Would kits be more popular than the stocks alone? Or are you more likely to swap out the stocks and use your old tubes?

I will say that most people dont sell full kits, at least not with the CTR, chich left me scrambling to find buffer tubes. If I were you, it may be a little difficult, but have it so you can customize the kit, with different buffers, maybe add the SSS spring, different receiver endplates like the Magpul new one for sling mounts

I like UBR's and the HK416 stock

If possible, I'd try to sell both kits and the stocks by themselves. A lot of people may just be replacing stocks, but I had to buy a M4 assembly so that I could use my CTR on the lower I just built. If you are starting from scratch on a build it is annoying to have to buy parts that you don't need, just to get the parts you do need.

I'm partial to the CAA ARS stock I have on mine, but it's kind of a niche stock. Basically, it's a collapsable precision stock for carbine buffers.

As long as you dont have a beard...  VTOR Emod. I do like the look of the UBR, but they seem impossible to find.

At this point in time, the Magpul CTR is the best bet on most carbines with 16" barrels and under, while the UBR works well on nose heavy rifles--typically those with 18" barrels and longer...
My all time favorite stock still is the M93b.
That said I do like the SOPMOD and still use a good old A2 at times.

I prefer the CTR on my carbines and the Ace Skeleton on bench rifles.
However, the MOE is definitely a stock you can sell to those short of $$$.
It is surprisingly tight for not having a lock. It is growing on me for budget builds along with the matching MOE pistol grip.

I love my CTRs! The MOE is nice for the money too .
The new stock that Magpul is comming out with, the ACS, looks like it will be a real winner too!

Until recently, I used the M4 6-pos stock on my carbines. The 6.8 wore one of those slip-on pads, which helped spread the recoil out over a larger area and gripped the shoulder of my shooting coat quite well. Recently switched to a CTR. The CTR is definitely easier on the beard than the standard M4 stock. It also doesn't "wobble", locks up nice and tight. Also like the fact that the CTR accepts QD sling attachment - just make sure you get a quality QD mount. The cheap ones aren't always cut to the same depth which can make them loose in the attachment holes.

I like the ACE SOCOM on mine. All I have to do is get the 6.8 kit for it.

I was sufficiently happy with the basic RRA 6 position collapsible. Too bad they saw fit to change stock numbers and raise the price 50%.
**** 'em. I'll find something else.

LMT SOPMOD stock. Had one sent to me while I was deployed in the military, currently have one on my patrol rifle as well as my MK12 MOD 0 clone.

I've had Magpul, Vltor, A1, A2, and the standard 6-Pos, but my favorite by far is the A1. Just like it simple I guess.

Magpul CTR and Command Arms CBS are on mine. Like them both. The CBS has a nice tight fit, lifetime warranty and is longer for those who want about 3/4" more LOP. Lots of positive features like sling swivel mounts front & rear, bat. storage, ambidex. cheekpiece or magazine holder and large rubber but pad. Only problem is finding them now!
