View Full Version : Primary Arms 2.5X Compact Scope with ACSS Reticle

Primary Arms just released their 2.5X Compact scope with a horseshoe reticle that includes ranging.
Last night, the reticle's designer, Dimitri, calculated how close the BDC dots aligned with 6.8 shooting 110AB at 2650MV.
He was pleasantly surprised that the 6.8 (with 110AB) matched very well with the BDC reticle.
This was with a 100 yard zero instead of the 50 yard zero mentioned in the instructions.
There is an introductory sale going on right now where you get a free $70 American Defense QD mount with purchase.
Waiting for the 4x myself. Its a great reticle. I love it on their 1-6.

Dimitri ran the bullet drops for 6.8 110 Accubond at a 2650 MV (SSA Tac load). The 2.5X aligned with the dots very well (when zero at 100 yards, not 50). He said the 4X didn't match up as well, at least with the load I provided. I would have rather had the 4X, but got the 2.5X based upon his calculations.

I know this is old, but I'm bringing it back! Does anyone here have one of these? I really want an ACOG, but am unsure if I'll like the fixed power or not. Thought this would be a good tester for that since the price is nice. It would be going on my MDWS 11.5" 6.8 SBR, and I already have a LaRue ACOG mount (somewhere around this place!). Anywho, who's got one and what do you think?

I have the 1-6x on a ptr91. I love the scope. Very clear. Nice reticle. It's more than anyone could reasonably expect for the price and would be a bargain even at a much higher cost.

I have a 1-6 as well on my 223 SBR and love it. I may go with another but would like something lighter. I had a Leupold mark ar 1.5-4 and it was nice but just not what I was looking for.
I know, I always give the Leupold specs,,, but I like the fixed power 2.5 comes in at 6.5 oz $270 Should be less money.

I put the Primary Arms 2.5 on my daughter's AR that I built for her. We only shot a few times together but it seemed to be pretty solid. She later told me that she was shooting bottle caps at about 50yds with a good degree of success, much to her BF's chagrin (he's an AK guy, and she has out shot him with that too).
I have the PA 1x6 ACSS (gen 2) and one of their micro red dots as well. Both work great.
