Hello everyone,

Does anyone know where I can find load data on the 6.8?

I was considering trying to find a duplicate load for the SSa 110 Barnes load?

Anyone have and accuracy load sugestion?

Thanks  :P

H335 is pretty close to what they use. If you have a chrono, check the SSA velocities and work your way up to match them.

For 115 gr bullets what load data, starting and max, do you suggest?

29-30.5 Gr. Of H335.
29.2 Gr. will get you to the Commercial load and 30.5 Gr. will put you in the Combat load range

Work up to it carefully though. X-Terminator also works.

grain for grain H335 is within 50 fps and 2K PSI of SSA loads 110-115gr for the lighter bullets 85gr they may be using a dif powder.

For the 110 tsx a powder a tad quicker is best and make it extruded not ball if possible. Norma 200 got me 2800 from my 18", rel 7 is very good and super accurate as is 10x. check out 4198 as well. Believe it or not I think many will find the faster powders produce very good vel for the 110s down. example: hrdy number 1 load for their 110-100 is with 1680 and that is using the tight dpms cut chamber. The great thing about 1680 is it gives a better p-curve then other fasy powders to function the action. It is the densest powder made. You will never have a compressed load. This also means greater care must be taken. With other powders you could cram it full to the top and not do much more then blow a primer if that with 1680 you do that and you will blow the rifle as you can achieve well over 100K PSI.

Suggests for the 110 TSX load as long as your mag will allow. I go 2.30-2.305. In testing accuracy dropped when a shorter COAL was used.

Case: SSA trimmed 1.676 neck tension .003-.004 no crimp make sure mouth is on a band not a groove on the bullet
Powder for accuracy: rel 7, 10x, h322, Norma 200
Primer: Wolf 5.56, Rem 7 1/2

Prep: when new outside turn case necks to min 90% clean/ inside neck ream after first fire if reamer touches, square primer pocket, bevel deburr flash hole, deburr mouth i/o, use once fired case fired from your chamber for most accuracy, FL size with shoulder set back no more than .003 from fired unsized measurement with Hrdy headspace guage, set primers with a hand held, weight each powder charge. nit picky and anal? Absolutely!! but you will know for sure it wasn't you loading process or prep as they will be as consistent as possible.

Thanks for taking the time to write this up. I'm trying to put together a reloading strategy for my 6.8. This kind of info is invaluable for somebody like me trying to use what time I have efficiently.
As a side note, "picky & anal" is what it takes to get the most out of your rifle & loads! Bravo!
