Does anyone know if Palmetto has any 6.8 Cproducts mags in-stock right now. I wanted to pick up a couple, but really don't want to be put on a back order. Also, I was looking at getting some of the 17 rounders, does anyone have any experience with these? I haven't had any problems with my 25 round mags and I want the same reliability. Another reason I am asking about the 17rd mags is because 44mag.com has those in-stock, but not 25rd mags, so if Palmetto is back ordered I will just order from them.

Thanks for the help

Stay away from the 17 rounders, they suck. Palmetto does have the 25's, last I checked.

Thanks, for the heads up. Glad I asked about the 17 rounders before I purchased them. I have never had any problems with the 25 rounders I have and I even use them as a monopod sometimes. Guess I will just stick with 25 round Cproduct mags and get PRI mags for my lower capacity needs. Do you have any suggestion as to which mag capacity I should get for shooting off of a bench, using towels or bags as a rest. Most my shooting is standing up or prone, but I will use a bench for checking my zero before deer season.

Get a 15 round PRI. That should work for your sight in.

It seems the consensus is that the straight mags from CP are the suck. However I have only had problems with the 18 round straight mags. I have a 10 rd straight mag from CP that is in all honesty my favorite mag. Between the 25 rd CP, the 25 rd PRI, and the 10 rd CP I have never had a failure to feed.

Yep, the C-Products 17/18 rounders are the problem child.

Thanks for the heads up on the problems with the 17rnd CP straight mags. I really don't have too much money right now so I can afford wasting it on crappy products. I went ahead and ordered a couple CP 25 rounders since I haven't had any problems with the ones I already own. Next on the list will be a couple PRI mags to add a little quality to the collection.

So how do you tell if PSA has items in stock? Do you just have to email them? I checked on their 25rnd Cprod mags. If they are in stock I will pay the extra dollar each to get them now, rather thatn back order them from 44mag.

I am pretty sure they have them in stock right now, I talked to them on the phone and they didn't make any mention of it. They haven't charged my account yet but their site says it will take a couple of days before they ship anything out.

Hopefully they do have them instock. I sent them an email tonight to check on it. They are only a dollar more than 44mag, and if they are in stock right now I would say it's worth it. Otherwise I might just order from Cproducts to get a little bit better price. That will probably take awhile though.

DO NOT ORDER DIRECT FROM C-PRODUCTS! Ok, now that I've got your attention, (sorry 'bout yelling). You would do better to spend the extra $$ ordering their mags from another source. I think they tend to fill the large orders first before they fill the small ones. I ordered two 25 rnd mags from them on the 21st of December and still have not received them. I ordered 2 20 5.56 mags from them at the same time and those arrive last week. If Palmetto has them in stock, buy from them or from 44mag if they have them.

Good Luck, Darren

Palm state has been delaying a few days and then getting out the order. Theu are probably swamped as much as any body else. But I can tell you that I have bugged them with questions about other products and they have responded every time sometimes within a few hours. I rank them with SSA and Ranier arms on customer service.

Before I purchased mine on friday, I went to the Magazine section of the EE at arfcom to try and find out if anyone was selling 6.8 mags for a good price. At the top of the 1st page highlighted in yellow was a post from Palmetto State indicating that Cproducts Mags were currently in-stock. So I would assume they would still have them in but you never know. It might be a good idea to check the EE to see if it still says they have them.

+1 Palm. State is the way to go. I've been very pleased with their service and pricing. They run a top notch operation. You won't be disappointed. They also now carry SSA "combat" loads!

I got an email back today that Palm State had the 25rnd mags in stock, so I ordered 5. It did say orders could be delayed 3-5 days due to volume, but I'm still going to get my mags a lot faster this way, rather than waiting for Cproducts or 44mag.

That is good to hear, I will be ordering more as soon as my finances allow me to.

Part of the backlog in filling orders on 6.8 mags at PSA is the GB. They just spent this past weekend trying to get them all out. I know I had two orders on the GB and they are currently in the hands of UPS.

I wasn't on here for the GB, found joined the site pretty much right after it. Hopefully they will be able to get to mine pretty soon, I am ecxited to get those and a couple more parts for rifle to start shooting.

Just checked my account this morning and saw the charge from PSA, so I am assuming that means they have been shipped out. Didn't have too wait long. Ordered Friday and shipped today, so it seems the 5 day shipping delay stated on the site is pretty accurate.

ARMAG.com has 5, 10, 17 & 30's in stock now. They are out of 25's. Prices seem OK to me.

i have a BUNCH of the 17 rounders with the grey followers they all work 100% for me. the only issue i had with them is the spring came out the side next to the floor plate when loaded up. just bend the end of the spring in a bit and no more problems. they only hold 15 or 16 rounds though :? oh welll if i'm down to my short mags it's been a WAY bad day already.

My mags from Palm State just arrived today :D :D . Didn't take long about 7 business days from the purchase date. Went ahead and placed an order for a couple more this afternoon.
