Question about the Xtreme

Obviously I am new here and I have a question about the 6.8 Xtreme. I am sorry if this is a covered topic, but I was not able to find the answer in the stuff I read here. After reading a bunch of stuff on this site, I am confused as to if AR Performance is currently taking orders for the 6.8 Xtreme uppers or not? If not, when is he going to take more orders? I have emailed him but no response, as I assume he is busy. :D I want to buy ASAP and this upper looked the best that I have found so far. If anyone knows what the process is to order one I would appreciate any information on it. Thanks in advance!

You can call AR Performance starting 2-23-09 to order one. Just make sure you have your options ready when you call.

If you are west of the Mississippi, call him after the 23rd of February unless he posts another date. Obviously, he is going to fill the pre-orders first and then begin work on regular orders.

He stated in other threads that you need to place an order VIA telephone on Feb. 23rd, between the hours of 9-5 mountain time. Make sure you are located west of the Mississippi river, as all oders west of the river go through AR15performance and orders East of the river go to Titan Armory. Titan Armory hasnt announced when it will open its preorders up again, but it should be around the same time as ARP. BTW the ARP phone number is Phone: 719-547-0233 9am-5pm mountain time. Also, something you need to realize is that it is still going to be a few months before the newest preorders will probably receive their orders. I ordered mine in late November and got very early on the list, and am still patiently waiting.

Full time office help starts the 23rd, most of the prototype machining, testing and running around will be done so we think the 23rd will be the best date to start the calls. For everyone that got in on the forum presale don't worry about your place in line, you are locked in by your email date. The Xtreme will be first followed by the MK68 Recon a few weeks later.
I hope to have the 6.8 AR1 fully tested and out in May with the 5.56s coming soon after.

Just remember Constructor has said if you call before the start date he is moving you to the end of the list. :lol: :lol: But I am sure nobody has called yet. :wink:

I too will be opening up ordering again in the near future. I do not want to give a solid date yet as I want to actually be sure on the date the first orders will be starting to ship. It very well could be the same time frame which is sometime right at the beginning of March based on some of the estimated ship dates but having learned my lesson I do not put faith in estimates. Until I see the shipping notification or charge hits my account its not a sure thing. Regardless of when either of us start take orders again it will not effect when you would actually get your upper as that is dependent on parts and building time. The first 300 have to go out first then the next run etc... We are obviously working on increasing the volume of the parts orders from our vendors but to get it to where it starts to catch up with demand we have to first start getting in funds from the initial orders. I know I can speak for both of us when I say we both absolutely despise having long waits but much of it is completely out of our control.

Right now I am working on setting up the e-commerce side of things so that ordering can all be done on online. The more time we can be off the phone the faster and more productive we can be at getting parts in and uppers out. This will be even more critical once we are cranking out orders. I will also have a phone number that people can use to place orders by. I would ask that for right now unless its specifically for placing a order that you do not call but use email. It will allow us to schedule time better and arrange a phone call if needed. Once everything is up and running and we have a handle on volume etc then that may very well change. Obviously if you have an upper from us and you have a technical issue with it you can contact me either way as that takes absolute priority.

I will say everyone has been very understanding and I thank you for your patience.

I'm still trying to figure out if I got on the pre order or not???I sent an email to AR performance Dec. 24th regarding the MK 68 recon . I did recieve an email from Harrison stating barrels would probably arrive sometime in late Feb. I resent an email containing contact info for me, and to confirm I was on a list, but no response..I'll keep my fingers crossed I guess.

Dave, Just to be sure you can call in after the 23rd and place an order will all of the options and payment info.
We check all calls with emails to keep your place in line.

We are having a little problem with Quest at the moment. Our old business recording can not be erased for some reason so if you hear Advanced Structures it is the correct number. We thought it had been changed 3 months ago.
