Last weekend I was pulling range duty at my club's range & while walking in front of some of the ports I saw a case in the remaining snow that truck me as odd.
It was a large primer Remington 6.8SPC case :o
Started scraping away snow & sound another
The next cease fire I started scrapping the show & leaves, found more cases but these were SSA cases :D
I mentioned this to a friend of mine who jumped on the 6.8 wagon with me & he started scrapping the ground too. He found about 6 cases
When my day was done, I found 44 cases. I will be back after the snow melts.
I think it is great when I start finding 6.8 cases at the range, gonna be a big year for us!

Damn. I'm happy when I find the 5.56 cases at the range where we qualify.

I can get all the 5.56 brass you want at the range here. Most people leave it on the ground.

If you can obtain once-fired LC cases in nice shape (not all tarnished and/or muddy/nasty), I'd be possibly interested in getting some from you. :D

I used to be able to collect several 5 gallon buckets of 5.56 during a range day. What didn't get reloaded went to the scrap yard (at $2.00/lb) to help pay for bullets. Now the powers that be have decieded it would be more cost effective to turn the brass in for more ammo...wondered how long that was going to take them to figure that out.
