Does anyone know whether the PRI 6.8 magazines that Brownells has are the old style or new "waffle style"? I know that judging from the pictures
that they show the old style. I was hoping that they just haven't updated their website. Why would someone want to keep trying to sell the older style? (Unless you had a boat-load of them to get rid of)
If they are the Waffle style they are a pretty decent price (dealer discount)!

I believe that PRI only makes the waffle pattern mags now, so if those are the older ones, they are probably some old ones they had left over. I would call up MidwayUSA to confirm it.

Not sure. However, I recently had an issue with an old style (smooth side) 10rd mag not falling free from the mag well. I sent it to PRI and they replaced it free... with another smooth side mag.

I bought some back in October and they were the new style.

The mag bodies have a waffle pattern design which adds strength and reduces bulging. They also use a different follower. These mags load smoothly and are more reliable than the old and drop free from the mag well.

I have anumber of the Barrett mags, but none of the PRIs. Those that have both--do you have a preference? Are either mags better than the other (capacity aside)?

With the PRI, you can load them much longer, which helps with accuracy.
i think you can also use a discount code too. check on arfcom, i think its TAD.

I had both and think the Barrett is too long for me.
If you handload then the PRI is better for you.
