For right around 1k, this seems like a great deal. It weighs barely over a pound, and the POI shift doesn't seem to be an issue. I'm set on getting this one, after looking at surefire, KAC, and YHM. Just wondering if anyone here has one, and if they would recommend it, or say steer clear.

Pending since December, hoping to bring it home in April/May. Bought it for 850 locally.

I got a quote from Silenced America for the 5.56 verison of the M4200 for $860. Try contacting Scott over there and see if he has got the 6.8 version. Silenced America has some of the best prices if you havent already found someone to purchase from.

I'll check them out. Thank you!
Their version of the M4-2000 5.56 is going for 1050 now. Looks like I missed a sweet deal

That's just the MSRP, contact them with what you're after and I bet the price is a lot lower than $1050.

If you get it, check out site sponsor Hamlund Tactical for your mounts. I picked mine up for $77 each. Buy two, and your shipping is free. Best price around.

Good site! I think I'm going to check into the BRAKEOUT series. I've seen a few youtube vids on it, and the muzzle climb appears to be nonexistent.

If you haven't read any of the mount issues, you might want to. The 18T were crap, the 51T were better but still have wiggle issues. I haven't read of any feedback on the 90T. Personally, I would not get a aac QD can, just too many "what ifs" on such an expensive item. Remember you are basically married to the can once had. If you want a QD, I'd look at the Gemtechs. I decided against a QD and went with a thread on. My TBAC 30P-1 should be in my hands around June/July.

I looked at a few youtube videos...for what that's worth....
The new mounting system from AAC, looks to be very promising. I plan to check these issues at a few different local sources, but for the price and weight, I plan to go with AAC. The Surefire suppressor, in the 6.8 flavor goes for 700 more than what I could pay for a silencedamerica.com m4-2000 in 6.8. While 2 or 3 decibels doesn't mean much to me, the weight is....from what I can recall from memory....17.1oz. That is about 1.1oz heavier than the surefire, and the sound.....at least to the human ear....is the same for both.
Here are my sources.

xxxx,
I do not stock that can because of the lack of demand; however, I can get it
drop shipped to you if you are outside of Texas (this will save a few weeks) or
I can get a serial number pretty quickly if you are in Texas. The price is $860.
Where are you located?

I did not email Scott, regarding the Surefire, because the MSRP was around 1500.....which by my calculations, would make it just over a grand from his site. Please critique my statistics, if I'm spreading misinformation. I hope this helps anyone else, looking for a 6.8 suppressor.

I never considered a dedicated 6.8 can, the way I figured, I can run my .30cal can on my 6.8 if needed but not be limited to shooting only 6.8 or below out of it. I have ran a G5 on a few 5.56 rifles and really like GT's QD mount. The Surefire and KAC also use good mounts but unless you can get a heck of a price break, they are high imo. You got to pay to play though...

Why not? He may have a 6.8K, or can get one, with the older style locking ring (we just upgraded our lock ring a bit) that you could potentially get for under 1k. They're still around, heck we may actually still have some on the selves at Surefire. If anyone looks at our MSRP for anything and thinks thats what you would actually pay, you're not shopping around enough. Just a thought...

Thanks for the info. I'll check around on that. Looks like a good deal. What made you guys decide to upgrade the lock ring?

The new lock ring streamlined the form a bit and gave the lock ring a bit more surface to grip to help you get it off if there's carbon build up. Also the cam locks in on the suppressor itself vs. the muzzle device. Eventually we can eliminate the teeth on the muzzle device. The locking ring principle didn't change its just a little slicker way of doing it. All my work suppressors are all still the older style and they work fine. If you can get one its a good way to take advantage of a product upgrade (like the old style 170lm X300 being offered for 170 bucks at some places in order to make room for the new 250lm X300), save a chunk of change, and still get a top quality suppressor. Just keep the "old lock ring" and "new lock ring" in mind when you start asking questions and negotiating the price.

You need to check actual price. I got my new style K can for a lot less then the msrp you are quoting.

Great info! I still have a LONG way till I commit to buying a suppressor. I'm trying to make sure I get the most out of my dollar, being that I am on a very tight budget. If I had to choose right now, I'd get a K can. And I hope that following your advice will lead me to that. Nothing I have seen about Surefire, would lead me to believe that they make nothing but top quality material.....it's just a matter of me personally setting aside the proper capital to get what I want. Much thanks for your insight, in helping me keep on this path.

My source is local. I would suggest finding someone local to you and have them quote you a price.
If they are quoting you MSRP prices then find someone else.
