I just ordered a new Wilson 6.8 barrel with the SPC II chamber and 1:11 twist.

What load from SSA would be best for deer hunting and home defense? I want to be able to stretch the range out just in case, but 95% of my shots are within 120 yards. Ideally 200 - 300 yard range just in case would be nice, but I know that might be pushing it with a 11.3" barrel.

95gr TTSX. It opens at a lower velocity (1600fps) so it increases the range that the bullet will expand reliably and therefore your target range.

Wow, 1600 FPS? Nice!

It is an awesome bullet that was designed by Barnes specifically for the 6.8. Now it is not a cheap round but it will get the job done at longer ranges. If you do a search you will see plenty of pics and stats on it.

It's either going to be the 85gr TSX or the 95gr TTSX, depending on your load....
