View Full Version : If Joe Wilson was a 68'er
Stopped by the Armory today and picked up a new lower. Gotta decide if this is the one I dedicate to being a pistol or the one that gets F1'ed.

That's a South Carolina state flag on the right side of the cover ... oh, and a little bit of Greek on the left. :a26:

Yeah I bought one online qhen they were still available on their website
I have 041 and want a bunch more!! Maybe when I'm out there again I'll have to pick another one up!!
They've still got plenty of 'em from what I understand. Call 'em up and order by phone.
I figure a Wilson Combat barrel is a good match for a Joe Wilson lower ... hmmm ... I wonder if they are related ... ?

"Finished" my pistol build - posted in the 2011 gun pics thread:

This pistol was all together at the end of March but I've not had a chance to go shooting since then! Got out to a short 25 yd pistol range this morning and ran 15 flawless rounds through it. It ejects at a perfect 3:30 with a Tubbs flat wire spring and an H2 buffer.
It turned out to be about an inch low at that range based on my initial setting of the Aimpoint using a cheap laser bore sighter.
I was a bit concerned about both how the recoil would be with no stock to keep the charging handle from smashing my nose, and how loud a 12" barrel would be even with ear pro.
No need to be concerned at all - recoil was very mild and noise was not a big deal either.
I'm loving this gun and can't hardly wait until I can afford a stamp to SBR it.
