Well, finally signed up for the forum after browsing it off and on for a bit now. Always curious about the either the 6.5 and the 6.8 but after seeing the 6.8 having a lot more resources that I could utilize, and then sadly watching an episode of Deadliest Warrior on Spike when the SWAT guy was using a 6.8 system, decided that is going to be my next rifle.

If anyone could recommend some resources to start reading to help me learn more about this round, it would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to you ! Read all the stickied threads first... then, go to the vendor's web sites and read the technical specs of their offerings... formulate some f/u questions and fire away with 'em. The more you read, the more your perceptions may change.

Just start reading the stickied threads and researching from there. Folks around here are a lot nicer than most forums so if you see something that doesn't make sense and can't find an answer post it up! I just moved out of the JAX area in December, I'm down in Tampa these days. Oh, and welcome aboard!
