Nice work! Buy as you know, the devil is in the details. WE NEED DETAILS!

My sister in law, in Ohio, has killed 3 deer this year, and my brother zero. He feels your pain.

Nice, what was your load data for the 62gr TSX? I have about 200 of them that I tested one batch using 25 gr's of Varget and got pretty good results but need to work up more loads for and was looking for a good starting point.

Also have you tried the 70gr TSX? I have 100+ left of these and had good luck with 23gr's of H4895 but am waiting to test them with Varget but just haven't been shooting the .223 much lately.

Edit: I see now where you said 25.5 gr's of Varget, were they loaded to 2.260"?

yep 2.260" OAL. i have not tried the 70 TSX's that gun only has a 9 twist and some say yes and some say no as to weather or not they will stabilize. i'm not gonna spend $30 on a box to find out LOL. the 62's will handle anything she is ever gonna run into. the bottom deer was hit piont of the front shoulder and came out right in front of the ham. 25" of penetration thats plenty for me. heck if it was legal i'd crash one on an elk. keep in mind i pour bullets down the barrel until the animal falls so i would have no problem with that. i dont have BAD habit of admiring the shot like most hunters. they shoot and look at the animal run off wondering what happened empty round still in the chamber.
