View Full Version : 6.8 Entrance & Exit wounds

There have been a lot of pictures of kills made with the 6.8 posted here and also showing the entrance and exit wounds.

Could one of the good folks here put a common object next to the entrance or exit wound for an actual size comparison. I know is sounds dumb and all, but it actually helps in relating to size. Some of the pics of the 6.8 exit wound look like you could put your fist in the exit hole (which is more than likely the case). :a21:

I'm going hoggin in about a week or two again. If I kill anything and have a camera, I will snap a pic.

I saw that, and it looked to be the only photo with something to compare the size of the wound. I just figured it would be interesting to see or compare that type of thing. Maybe just my morbid curiosity getting the better of me. Still impresses me though.:a35:

Texas whitetail at 125 yards, 110g TTSX

entrance wound visible was a caliber sized hole through hide..

hide pulled back, deer quartering towards me, just inside of shoulder
about a fist sized cavity
